Thông tin từ Sở Công Thương, từ đầu năm 2023 đến nay, Sở chỉ đạo phòng chuyên môn, Trung tâm Khuyến công và Xúc tiến thương mại tỉnh phối hợp nhiều sở, ngành, địa phương tổ chức hàng loạt hoạt động xúc tiến thương mại trong tỉnh cũng như liên kết vùng với các DN chuyên doanh phân phối, thương mại bán lẻ, hệ thống siêu thị, cửa hàng tiện ích. Các mặt hàng được xúc tiến, quảng bá là thực phẩm, nông sản, sản phẩm công nghiệp nông thôn tiêu biểu, sản phẩm OCOP,…
Qua đó, góp phần giúp DN tiêu thụ hàng hóa, kích cầu tiêu dùng, tăng tổng mức bán lẻ hàng hóa, thúc đẩy tăng trưởng kinh tế cho thị trường trong nước. Thuận lợi lớn của tỉnh là gần TP.HCM, cửa ngõ của Vùng Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long, nguồn cung lương thực, thực phẩm, hàng tiêu dùng luôn dồi dào.
Qua đó, đẩy mạnh cuộc vận động “Người Việt Nam ưu tiên dùng hàng Việt Nam”, giúp người tiêu dùng có nhiều sự lựa chọn trong mua sắm, DN đẩy mạnh tiêu thụ hàng hóa, góp phần thúc đẩy tăng trưởng kinh tế, nhất là trên lĩnh vực thương mại – dịch vụ.
